Instant tracking on panaroma image

Hi,

I have few queries before I go for licensing of your sdk.

1. I have a use case in my application where I want to place some 2d/3d objects on an image surface not on camera view surface plane.

Its like user will click a panorama view (360 degree) photo from camera and able to place 2d/3d objects on photo surface.

Please suggest if it is possible with your javascript sdk ?

2. Placing of 2d/3d objects on camera surface and ability to resize/scale them.

is instant tracking feature of your sdk can be used for this ?

3. We are planning to make a hybrid app for android and ios platform using wikitude sdk. is apache corodova plugins and javascript apis are available to implement instant tracking feature ? Please also suggest the OS versions supported for both platforms.

Thanks,

Amardeep

Could you please respond ?

Hello Amardeep,

Regarding your first question, although right now it is not possible to use a panorama view photo as a target, could you please explain in more details your use case as I find it interesting and maybe, I could even add it in our feature list or see if there is a workaround for that.

Using Instant Tracking, you are able to rotate, scale and translate the augmentations using gestures. Please refer to our documentation section here and also, if you download our sample then try "Instant Tracking - Interactivity". Instant Tracking is available on both iOS and Android and for all our platforms. In order to see the requirements a device should have for this feature then please refer to the documentation sections below:

Hi Eva,

Thanks for responding. My use case is something like a user can click a panorama view image (360 degree) of an house and can place 2D/3D objects on different locations on image.

Please clarify few more queries :

1. is Apache cordova sdk provided has all the features/APIs like instant tracking, object tracking implemented in it ? Or developer needs to write plugins for different such features. I could see in the sample only image recognition feature is implemented.

2. Why did you provide different java script sdks for Android and ios platform considering any of them work cross platform?

Thanks,

Amardeep

Please respond

Hello Amardeep,

Our Cordova extension has all the features that our Javascript API has, but I would recommend you go to our documentation here as you will find all the information regarding our Cordova extension there. Although our SDK is compatible with both Android and iOS, we provide different .js files because you need to modify them according to the platform you are building the app for.

Thanks
Eva
