Issue Processing Image Targets from AWS Reference Link

Xamarin.Wikitude.SDK.JS – Version 9.10.0

Xamarin.Forms – Version 5.0.0.2083

Devices  iOS (iPhone X), Android (Samsung Galaxy)

The issues are occurring within our own app.

We are currently experiencing issues when trying to load/execute image targets that are stored on Wikitude Studio. The following error is returned.

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

<Error>

</Error>

Error URL: https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/studio-live-template/v3/index.html?j=

  • I did not include the remainder of this URL which references our team's studio projects.

This doesn’t appear to be an SDK issue, a device issue, or a Xamarin issue.  This issue is related to the URL we are referencing for the index.html (that presumably houses the javascript required to process the AR image target). Is the referenced index.html from AWS something that is provided by Wikitude?

Hi,

We are sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for reporting it.

Is this issue reoccurring or was it temporary?

Also, is it something that started happening recently, has the feature worked before?

Usually an access denied response indicates an issue with the authentication credentials.

Another possibility is the session expiring.

If authentication is required, please make sure the session is still active.

In Studio, for instance, user sessions are closed after 30 minutes, as a security measure.

Let us know if you we can be of further assistance.

Hello,

Thank you for your response. This issue is reoccurring and occurs (Error message mentioned above) each time we try to test our AR image targets that are stored in Wikitude Studio. Yes, the Wikitude AR functionality worked in our previous application but does not work in the new one we plan to release. Our Wikitude SDK keys and Studio account were transferred due to a new (spin-off) company. Most recently a new SDK key was generated for our new application, but we have yet to have a successful AR test.

Could this be an SDK license issue? Could you elaborate more regarding how the authentication credentials work?

Additionally, we have speculation that our current SDK PRO license no longer enables cloud recognition or Studio hosting thus resulting in the access denied error. Can you confirm that the SDK PRO license requires us to obtain our own hosting provider to then access our image targets on Wikitude Studio? or Are we required to upgrade our license tier to either cloud or enterprise to leverage hosting provided by Wikitude?
