Does the object's color affect the object tracking?

Wikitude SDK v9.2 Pro

Unity 2019.4.4f

Hello,

Is it possible for the WTO to recognize different colored objects in the same form, with photos of white objects?

Hi,

If you want to e.g. recognize objects that are in different colors (e.g. recognizing a car independent from the color), then our 3D model based Object Recognition approach would be the most suitable. You can find details on our current beta program and how to apply here:

Additional you check out our AR Tracking Guide, which helps you find the best approach based on the object and characteristics of the object:

Thx and greetings

Thank you for your reply.

But I'm trying Image Based Object Recognition instead of 3D model based Object Recognition.

I'd like to hear the answer to the Image Based Object Recognition.

Can red or blue objects be recognized by WTO files made from photographs of white objects?

Thank you.

Hi,

Our object recognition does not take the color into account (so there is no color recognition) --> feature points are created based on the structure, texture, but there are no color values stored.

I hope this helps.

Thx and greetings

Nicola

It was a really important hint for me. Thank you.
