Accelerometer Not working on IOS - Xamarin Forms : Wikitude

Hello Guys,

I hope you help us here, we are still new to Wikitude on Xamarin.

our project is POI with Radar view. we have it working perfect except on IOS.

it is not responding to any motion. it seems it is capturing the value of the Accelerometer before entering the AR mode then.

Same code is working fine on Android

Nuget Version: Xamarin.Wikitude.SDK.JS 8.4.0

I hope you can guide us where to look.

Hi,

Can you please provide the following details:

What device does this happen with (model details and OS version)?
Is this happening with the sample app or in your own app? If it happens with your own app, does the sample app work on your device?
Is it working if you use a newer SDK version?

Hi Nicola,

What we noticed so far its only iphone 8. we tested iphone 6s, X, Tablet and it was working fine.

iPhone 8 - IOS 13.4.1 (even before the last update it was not working).
We didn't test the sample on this device (its one of the testers), we'll try to do that.
after installing latest SDK, it didn't work and the Radar disappeared on all devices so we rolled back.

PS: on the same device we have VR Tour using Aframe and motion is working.

Hi Mamdouh,

Please let us know once you tested the unchanged SDK sample app on the iPhone 8. If this is working, then the issue might be related to a problem in your app implementation. In this case, please have a close look at the permissions and the sample app code together with the documentation.
