Iphone11 camera shake


Please provide the following details:

  • Which version of the SDK are you using?
  • What Unity version are you using?
  • What device does this happen with (model details and OS version)? Please share also a video with a different device where the tracking is working as expected.
  • Is this happening with the sample app or in your own app? If it happens with your own app, does the sample app work on your device?
  • Based on the video and the light mirroring on the top right corner it looks like also the phone is moving. So ideally, to make sure that the shaking is not coming from an external factor, could you put the device somewhere stable and compare the behaviour.
  • Does it make a difference in behaviour when you test in different surroundings / rooms?

real problem: This is about moving the actual phone. The camera stabilises the image when shaking the phone, but in the ar app it doesn't

new information: Model: IPhone 11 Pro and OS version 13.3

I found a video which shows how stable and smooth the video in comparision to other iphones is, because the optical image stabilisator is so good:

What we did: 

Open camera app --> shake device slightly --> smooth image

Open our AR app --> shake device slightly --> shaky image

You can see that in the video, , that we are shaking the device just a little bit on purpose (reflection of the lights) and that the camera app shows a very smooth image.


The SDK does not include any setting for image stabilization at the moment - so this is why you see the difference in the camera app and the app using our SDK.

We've added your feedback to our feature request list and will discuss this feature for future integration in the SDK.
