Make object sticks to the world even when image tracking is lost

In my project, I want to set the position of the object(image trackable) relative to the world, after it was detected by image tracker. So when the image tracking is lost, it's still there, no need to calibrate or detect again.

My image tracker could be static, not moving around. I tried Extended Tracking functionality, but in my case, it is not so useful - when the image trackable is opposite to the image tracker.

Could you suggest me any ideas to resolve my problem?

Thanks.

Hi,

This sounds like the functionality we demo here would be suitable:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJq3GheC5AA

It combines Image Recognition, Markerless Tracking / Instant Tracking and Object Recognition.

This feature will be available in our Unity SDK soon. Please stay tuned.

Thx and greetings

Nicola

Thank you for your response, Nicola.

If you can estimate when the feature will be released, please tell me about that.

I'd appreciate it a lot if there are some other ways to resolve my problem.

Thanks.

Hi,

We don't have a release timeline yet. Our blog and social media is the best place to check for the latest updates in the releases. For now the most suitable approach is still the extended tracking but as you mention you'll need the image to initalize the tracking there.

Thx and greetings

Nicola
