3D Model Is Grey When Converted To .wt3 But Looks Fine in Autodesk

I have a .fbx file that looks as it should in Autodesk and Autodesk Web Viewer but when I open in Wikitude 3D Encoder it is all grey. There are no errors in the error log. All the elements of the 3D model are there it is just solid grey without the detail.

In Maya developing the .fbx file there was a basic shader applied but the scene in Maya had no lights added to the output. Only the default one used to view the model while building the model was used.

Is this why the model shows up as only solid grey in the Wikitude Encoder?

If this is a matter of adding lighting:

Does Wikitude SDK or Wikitude Studio support adding lighting to .wt3 files?

Is it best practice to add it in a program such as Maya or in Wikitude Studio?

Please see the attached images for reference.

Also is it still true what was stated here:

https://support.wikitude.com/support/discussions/topics/5000080356

that "Currently only one light source is allowed/taken into account by Wikitude3dEncoder."

And that ambient lighting is the best practice for having the whole model have lighting with this one light source limit?

Hi Eric,

Yes the above is still true - "Currently only one light source is allowed/taken into account by Wikitude3dEncoder." .  As for the best practices, did you have a look at this documentation section:
