Is it possible to use a 3d model as an object to create a tracker? I have a product mockup that won't be produced for a while and was wondering if it's a possibility to actually use either renders of the model in the image tracker setup or render a video of it and set it up that way.
You can work with images out of a CAD program. So you'd need to render images including the textures out of the CAD program that you then use to upoload in Studio for the .wto file.
With Wikitude SDK 9.2, beta testers now have the additional possibility of using 3D models as the source material for the object target reference map creation process.
The new augmented reality object tracking input method works with .obj files, CAD models, and other 3D model formats.
