Hi everyone, I am new to Wikitude and was looking at the Hotels.com article in the showcase. My question is does the app use geo-location to pull back a list of nearby hotels or does it really generate a nearby list based on the recognizing nearby architecture.
I am interested in building something similar for a small community project in which a person can open a mobile app point the camera at nearby surroundings and they get feedback on buildings, landmarks, historical sites.
Thanks for the feedback
Thx for reaching out. This was within the Wikitude app some years back. This experience uses our Geobased AR feature, which allows you to display POIs within the camera viewfinder that are near the users location.
You can work with our SDK to develop an app like this. The best way to start is to check out the sample app which comes with the SDK download package together with the respective documentation section.
Each section includes a set-up guide, which helps you set up your project.
