What is my application size when using Wikitude SDK Architect (iOS)?

 

Q: What is my final application size after I have added the Wikitude SDK (Architect) and Apple App Store applied bitcode and App Store compression:

We uploaded an empty app containing our SDK to the app store and got sizes for the download of the app from 13 to 14.1 MB.

  • 96 MB including an SDK with bitcode enabled and all architectures (armv7(device), armv7s(device), arm64(device), i386(simulator), x86_64(simulator))
  • 56 MB including an SDK with bitcode enabled and all device architectures (armv7(device), armv7s(device), arm64(device))
  • 55 MB including and SDK with bitcode disabled and all device architectures (armv7(device), armv7s(device), arm64(device))


Q: What is the iOS Architect .framework size after I applied various scripts:

  • .framework size before running the bitcode script: 272 MB
    .framework size after running the bitcode script: 94 MB
  • .framework size before running the strip script: 94 MB
    .framework size after running the strip script: 54 MB

   -- reverse order --

  • .framework size before running the strip script: 272 MB
  • .framework size after running the strip script: 232 MB
  • .framework size before running the bitcode script: 232 MB
    .framework size after running the bitcode script: 54 MB
