I'm not sure if I understand correct: Are you asking if our SDK requires a active subscription to keep working?
If this is your question, the answer is "no, it's not software as a service". You can purchase our SDK once and keep using it as long as you want and as it's working. You won't get any updates of our SDK and this might cause issues with iOS or Android updates. If you use any of our cloud services (e.g. Cloud Recognition, Studio Hosting), you'll need an active subscription.
If you want to make sure to receive updates of the SDK, we strongly suggest to choose the subscription.
