3D Model trembling problems

Hi, we have developed an app with wikitude sdk and we are appreciating how in many phones 3D models appears trembling while other phones 3D models stands quiet.


Can you help us to fix this awful trembling effect or explain reasons of this problem (hardware, android version,...)?

Hello Ruben,

Can you please provide further details on the issue:
  • Which version of the SDK are you using?
  • Are you using the JS API?
  • Are you using any of our Extensions (Titanium, Cordova, Xamarin, Unity)? If yes, which version are you using?
  • What device does this happen with (os Version and model)?
  • Is this happening with the sample app as well? Also, could you please provide us with the image you are using as a target?

Hi there,


We're using Wikitude SDK Javascript API Version 6.1.0. We aren´t using any extension. The device where it is being tested is a Huawei Nexus 6p, OS Android 7.1.2.

The targets that we are using and that give this problem are marked with 2 and 3 stars in the target manager. Thanks in advance!

Hello Juan,

There are a couple of things that affect the 3D models and could cause trembling issues. Normally these are:
  • The quality of the targets and their size
  • The placement of the augmentation in relation to the image
  • The size of the 3D model

Could you please send over a video demonstrating your issue so that we can do some further investigation?
