Unity - In-editor preview feature

Unity - In-editor preview feature

Hey Wikitude crew,

Do you have a rough date/time of the year set for a feature planned to allow for Unity in-editor previews of Wikitude in action? As an iOS developer, it can be extremely time consuming building a new app to Xcode every time we need to tweak certain portions of our app's interactions with Wikitude. I'd say we'd save at least 50% of our time if we could test in the editor, so that'd be huge for us.

Quick bump, any sort of timeframe like quarters of the year would be helpful!

Hi David,
We're about to start the implementation in the next couple of weeks, so it should be available in Spring. Please subscribe to our newsletter for more informations.

Best regards

Awesome! Thanks for the update.

Hi,
any news on this?

Same what is the status on this.

Hi,

A beta version of SDK 8 is now available for developers on the download page.  Unity developers will be pleased to know that SDK 8 added AR-view functionality to the Unity editor. Being able to test and tweak your augmented reality project, hassle-free, during app creation greatly reduces development and prototyping time.

Additionally, developers can use the Unity Remote feature to test Instant Tracking using a remote camera (e.g. a smartphone or tablet).

Greetings Nicola

thanks, will check it out this weekend :)

I just tried it and it's looking really good so far ;)
This significantly improves the development/debugging workflow.
Thank you very much!
