iPod Touch 6th Gen Support

There seems to be a bug on the iPod Touch 6th Generation where there is an error saying that "This device does not support the requirements to perform 2D tracking. The device generation is not supported . Wikitude SDK requires an iPhone 4, iPod Touch 5th generation or an iPad 2 or newer." 

I'm using the provided cordova plugin on the iPod Touch 6th gen.

Any workaround and/or estimate when this issue is going to be resolved?
