RE: Identification of multiple images

RE: Identification of multiple images

Hello Xue Man,

the steps for detecting and augmenting up to 1000 images are the following:

1) Use the target management tool at http://developer.wikitude.com/tools/target-manager to upload your target images, create a target collection (.wtc file) for them and remember the target collction URL.

2) Create an ARchitect World with an AR.Tracker object using the target collection URL in your ARchitect World.

3) Create an AR.Trackable2DObject  for each target you want to augment and add for example an AR.ImageDrawable to them.

For details, please see the image recognition tutorial at http://www.wikitude.com/external/doc/documentation/3.0/android/imagerecognition.html#image-recognition or have a look at the image recognition sample code included in the SDK package folder /Scripts/ExampleScripts/1_ImageRecognition_2_MultipleTargets

Please note that you can detect and augment up to 1000 images, however only one target can be visible at any given time in the current camera image. If you need to have multiple targets visible at once, please send a feature request together with a short description of your particular use case to info@wikitude.com

Best regards,

Nicolas

Hello,

regarding 1)

Please have a look at the step by step instructions for the target management tool at http://www.wikitude.com/external/doc/documentation/3.0/android/targetmanagement.html#target-management

Which browser are you using?

Please describe in detail which step is not working for you or the exact error message you get in your browser. Also a screenshot can help tremendously giving context for the issue you are experiencing and helps to get the issue sorted quickly.

reagarding 2)

It is not clear to me what you are trying to acheive. Please clarify what you want to do.

Best regards,

Nicolas

Hello,

Can you please send me your login ID and the project name where you had those problems?

Thanks,

Martin

Hi,

I've checked the database, and we've seen several projects linked to your account. Do you experience the problem on each project, or on a particular one?

The wtc files are all accessible, what's the link you are trying to download?

Thanks,

Martin

Hi,

when we tried from Salzburg, the wtc file was downloadable. Maybe you are behind some firewall that does not allow you to download files of type .wtc or from the location where we store the wtc files?

In general, the use case you are describing can also be implemented with Wikitude Studio, our content management system (check studio.wikitude.com). With this, you don't have to worry about IDs referencing your images in the target collection, or any programming, Wikitude Studio will create all the required objects for you, all you need to do is use the graphical user interface.

Best,

Martin

Hi,

We checked your target collection again, it can be downloaded from our systems. It obviously is a local problem, something we cannot check or fix remotely.

Can you please check if you are behind a firewall that blocks requests to http://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com? Other than that, I need to direct you to someone locally who has access to your computer and can assist you in finding out why you cannot connect to the domain.

Thanks,

Martin
