Want to take picture from my own camera

Want to take picture from my own camera

Hi All,

I am finding wikitude helpful for my project but facing a problem. In wikitude demo app It conticuously takes picture and sends for recognition for client recognition.

But My requirement is:
1) I want to take picture in my view controller and want to keep referance of this captured picture for other view controllers
2) Now I want to send this picture to wikitude sdk to recognise and respond me back with result

Can anyone explain the steps to do so with corresponding API.

Thanks,
Jitendra

Hi,

Did you find any approach for the problem stated above? I would like to do the same for my project.

 Hello Eld,

Could you please provide further details:

  • Which version of the SDK are you using?
  • Are you using the JS API?
  • Are you using any of our Extensions (Titanium, Cordova, Xamarin, Unity)? If yes, which version are you using?
  • Explain in details your use case.

Thanks

Eva

Hi Eva,

Thank you for the fast response.

Which version of the SDK are you using? the lates version 7.0.1

Are you using the JS API? Yes, JS API

Are you using any of our Extensions (Titanium, Cordova, Xamarin, Unity)? Xamarin

If yes, which version are you using?Explain in details your use case. I use visual studio which has already Xamarin integrated with it. I use Xamarin.Forms along with Wikitude Xamarin JavaScript SDK to build an AR cross-platform application. The main purpose of this app is to take picture with the app and show it in AR view.

If you have any idea, I would appreciate to share. Many thanks

Hi,

What you are describing is only possible with an InputPlugin, unfortunately our Plugins API is not supported on Xamarin.

The InputPlugin is available in our JS SDJ, Native SDK and our Unity Plugin.

Best Regards,

Alex
