Running Sample App with Phonegap Desktop

Does wikitude not run with the phonegap developer app (iphone) that gets run from phonegap desktop? I was just evaluating wikitude, but don't know if it does not work without actually running to the device with XCode (since I don't have an app developer subscription as of right now). Thanks.

I should mention it runs and goes to the first screen but upon clicking any sample, nothing happens.
