Compass Calibration Disabled

Compass Calibration Disabled

Hi,
Im working with the new Architect SDK 1.1 on iOS and love all the new add features, one being the ability to add the radar view.
However, I am constantly receiving alert messages stating 'Compass Calibration Disabled'.  Is anyone else receiving this message when using the radar and is there any known solution?
Hi,

This has nothing to do with the radar.

You're receiving this alert if your compass calibration is turned off, or if your gyroscope isn't delivering any usefull information.
This alert was intended to signal the user that the ARView isn't working properly.
To verify that your gyroscope is working properly, please download a free compass app from the iTunes Store and check if it is working. If not, turn your device off and on again. This usually resolves the problem on one of my test devices.

If the compass is working fine but you're continuing to receive the alert, move your device around like you would do if you're calibrating the compass to force the gyroscope to update its information.

Note: Also if the device lies flat on a table, the gyroscope can't deliver any usefull information.

Best regards
Andreas
Thanks for reply.  This is more a usability issue, leaving the phone flat on the table is quite normal but having the compass alert appear every 30 secs really detracts from user experience.  Is there anyway to completely remove the alert notifications altogether or is this beyond the scope of the wikitude SDK.
You cannot disable this specific alert, but we're working on a solution.

Best regards
Andi

Just want to let you know that we changed the internal sensor handling and there will be no alert in the next release of our sdk.

The next release is scheduled in about two weeks.

Best regards

Andi

Thanks for reply, look forward to latest release.
